About the event
Brachytherapy has a long history in the field of radiation therapy, as it has been used to treat cancer since the early 1900s. This presentation will focus on modern methods to standardize the dosimetry of brachytherapy sources, from the primary standards used for calibration to the dosimetry formalism used to characterize the three-dimensional dose distribution surrounding the sources.
