Moving from Gap Correction to Gap Management in Radiotherapy

Incorporating gap correction methodologies is a major challenge for Medical Physicists and Radiation Oncologists accountable for radiation treatments. Many of the existing radiobiological models are not successful in predicting the outcome in today's clinical practices. Treatment gaps that occur during typical radiotherapy treatment courses and various types of solutions for managing them ranging from simple ones to complex ones.
